LinguaBeasts Demo
A short sample of the writing practice interface used in BeastScholar college courses.
Argue Mentals
Claims, counterarguments, and structuring a persuasive case.
Qualifier Quinn
Say exactly as much as the support carries.
Short lesson
- Qualifiers (many, often, likely, some) set the size of a claim. Absolute words (all, every, always, prove) make claims universal.
- A claim should be no bigger than its evidence. A sample of library users cannot speak for every student.
- Qualifying is not weakening: an accurate claim is harder to refute.
Practice 1 of 3
Evidence: 42 of 60 survey respondents, all current library users, wanted evening study space.
